BICOL SARO Party-list Representative Brian Raymund Yamsuan encouraged secretariat personnel of the House of Representatives (HRep) to renew their commitment to public service during its first flag-raising ceremony in 2025.
“Let good governance be our resolution. Anuman ang inyong posisyon, ipakita ninyo that the House of Representatives is truly for the Filipino people,” he legislator said, urging the House secretariat to recommit to the values of truth, justice and courage.

Yamsuan, who previously served as HRep Deputy Secretary General in 2019, emphasized the importance of collaboration and mentorship among HRep personnel and called on his former officemates to help and guide new hires to adopt the right attitudes and practices — which he described as the greatest legacy public servants can leave.
The lawmaker also emphasized the importance of flag raising ceremonies.

Yamsuan asked attendees to persevere but maintain humility and integrity in aspiring for higher positions in their careers.
“Do not lose yourself along the way. Kasi habang tumataas ‘yong posisyon natin sa gobyerno, parang nawawala sa atin yung sense of propriety minsan,” he said.
Yamsuan concluded with a message of hope, encouraging government employees to face the new year with optimism.
“Today, as we return to our stations and begin our new work year, welcome this year with a mindset that radiates joy and fresh hope—for a better day, a better year, and a better future for all Filipino people,” he said.
