The University of the Philippines (UP) College of Medicine (UPCM) honored the scholarship provision of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and its Chairman and CEO, Dick Gordon, to UPCM’s medical students during a “Donor Appreciation Ceremony” held at UP Manila recently.
PRC is the biggest full scholarship provider of the UPCM to date.
On August 26, 2022, the PRC granted scholarships to twelve (12) UPCM’s economically disadvantaged and deserving medical students, covering their tuition fees and living allowance among others.
“These students came from different parts of the country, including those from Mindanao, where there is a disparity in healthcare access as compared to other regions.”
