The Department of Tourism (DOT) announced that Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco secured the second ranking among the Marcos administration’s top-performing cabinet officials, as revealed in the latest “Boses ng Bayan” performance assessment conducted by RP- Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) from September 20-30, 2024.
With a job performance rating of 92.7%, Frasco shares a statistical tie for second place with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian, who received a 93.5% rating.
This recognition underscores the tourism chief’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the Philippine tourism sector, positioning it as a vital pillar of the country’s economic growth and cultural promotion.
The top spot was secured by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr., who achieved a 95.8% rating.
The independent and non-commissioned survey reflects Frasco’s exceptional leadership and commitment to the revitalization of tourism in the post-pandemic era.
Under her stewardship, the DOT has launched initiatives aimed at promoting the Philippines as a top global destination, embracing sustainability, and enriching the travel experience for both domestic and international tourists.

The nationwide survey engaged 10,000 adult respondents across various regions, with a ±1% margin of error and a 95% confidence level, providing an accurate representation of public sentiment.
The results showed that all cabinet officials scored above the passing threshold, highlighting the administration’s overall dedication to effective governance.
According to the DOT, Frasco’s performance score is a testament to her ongoing efforts to strengthen the Philippines’ position in the global tourism market and support the Marcos administration’s vision of inclusive growth and sustainable development.
She has consistently occupied the top three RPMD survey rankings since 2022.
