The Senate adopted a resolution commending Maunlad Canning Corp., the manufacturer of Young’s Town sardines, for bringing honor and pride to the country when it won the international Food and Beverage Quality award in Madrid, Spain.
Senate Resolution No. 296, which was authored by Senator Nancy Binay, noted that Maunlad Canning was the only Philippine company selected to receive this year’s international award.

In her sponsorship speech, Binay said Maunlad Canning deserves the recognition of the Senate as “a Filipino brand that stood the test of time because of its dedication to the quality and taste of its products and its devotion to its employees and its customers.”
