SAMAR PROV’L HOSPITAL OPENS RENOVATED OBGYN WARD

The Samar Provincial Hospital (SPH) had its blessing and ribbon-cutting of the newly renovated Obstetrics and Gynecology Ward recently.

The area features five ward rooms that can cater a total of 36 patients, a nurse station, a doctor’s quarters, and newly repaired comfort rooms, walls, and ceiling.

Air conditioning units will also be installed to provide comfort to the mothers and newborn babies. These improvements will complement the complete Newborn and Maternal Care Services provided by the hospital.

“If there is a program and section in government that is close to my heart, it is the health services.”

Governor Sharee Ann Tan, in her message said, “If there is a program and section in government that is close to my heart, it is the health services. It is our responsibility to provide better health services to the community.”

Tan likewise thanked the doctors and health care providers for their support and collaboration. The lady governor also reminded them to serve with patience and compassion, so as to uplift the dignity of the people.

“The renovation is based on the adoption of green and safe climate resilient facility.”

Meanwhile, SPH Chief of Hospital Dr. Jonathan Gabriel Paquit shared that the renovation is based on the adoption of a green and safe climate resilient facility.

“With this mandate, our aspirations and planned programs intended for SPH’s improvement are slowly becoming a reality. We look forward to SPH being the prime option of health services in Samar,” Pacquit stressed.

Several programs are expected to be implemented in SPH in the near future, all with the goal of improving the health care services and encouraging health care-seeking behavior of the Samarnons.
