The Philippine Red Cross (PRC), in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), held a cash distribution to 281 families in Brgy. 754 in Malate, Manila and 339 families in Brgy. Bagbag, Quezon City.
PRC, under the leadership of its Chairman and CEO Senator Dick Gordon, continues to provide support and assistance to the communities greatly affected by the pandemic.
The P3,500 cash grant will be able to provide basic necessities to the beneficiaries.
“Handa lagi ang Philippine Red Cross na tumulong at magbigay pag-asa sa ating mga kababayan na labis na naapektuhan ng Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). (The Philippine Red Cross is always ready to help and give hope to our countrymen who were greatly affected by the enhanced community quarantine).” Gordon said.
“Ang cash grant na ito ay magagamit upang makapagsimula muli ang mga nawalan ng trabaho, single parents, at mga senior citizens.”

PRC targets 1,844 families in Manila and Quezon City and is divided into different batches in accordance with the Inter-Agency Task Force guidelines.
