The Philippine Red Cross – Antique Chapter provided 19 units of blood to victims of the bus accident in Barangay Igbucagay in Hamtic, Antique recently.
The bus was traveling along a route that has been tagged as “killer road” where another bus fell years ago.
PRC Antique Chapter also deployed an ambulance to the scene, provided a body bag, and assisted in the search and retrieval, and management of the dead.
PRC Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon expressed sympathy to the families of the 16 passengers who died and for the others who were injured.
“It is unfortunate that 16 lives were lost in that road accident and many others were injured.”
