Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Chairman and CEO Dick Gordon, along with Secretary General Dr. Gwen Pang, paid their respects at the wake of veteran film producer and Red Cross partner Ms. “Mother Lily” Yu Chu-Monteverde.
Gordon, whom Mother Lily shared a long-standing friendship with, presented a posthumous recognition award to her family to honor her contributions to the Red Cross.

“Not only was Mother Lily one of our best creative minds in the industry, but she was also a force for good. Her support for the Red Cross was invaluable to us. We will miss her dearly,” he said.
Mother Lily was a member of the PRC Quezon City Chapter’s Board of Directors from 2006 to 2010.

Mother Lily passed away on August 4 at the age of 85.
