As the vibrant blooms of Panagbenga Festival 2025 filled the streets of Baguio City, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) stood ready to provide essential medical support to festival goers.
From February 1 to 28, PRC was able to assist 174 patients, monitoring the vital signs of 151 individuals, attending to the needs of 20 with minor cases, and 3 individuals with major medical difficulties – including loss of consciousness and sprains. Fortunately, no patient required hospital transport or welfare assistance.
With a dedicated team of 39 responders, PRC deployed an ambulance, set up a welfare desk, an emergency medical unit, first aid station with three scooter patrollers across key festival areas, including Session Road, Melvin Jones Grandstand, Malcolm Square, and Harrison Road.

He further emphasized the importance of preparedness stressing the PRC remains committed to its mission to ensure that every festival remains a joyful and secure experience for all.
“We must always be ready to respond to any emergency. PRC’s presence at festivals like Panagbenga reflects our commitment to serving humanity, anytime and anywhere,” Gordon concluded.
