The Philippine Department of Health (DOH), led by Secretary Ted Herbosa, and Jamaica’s Ministry of Health, headed by Dr. Christopher Tufton, forged a historic bilateral health cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Kingston, Jamaica.
The partnership focuses on strengthening the health workforce, building capacity, and exchanging expertise.
Key initiatives include deploying trainers, sharing knowledge in fields like biotechnology and epidemiology, and addressing health workforce sustainability.
“We aim to build their capacity through exposure to Jamaica’s healthcare system while helping address the country’s health workforce shortage.”
