Senator Manny Pacquiao was elected as the Chairman of the Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Governance Committee during a committee meeting recently.
Moments after the election, Pacquiao gave a brief message to the committee communicating his warm gratitude and his pledge to be of service to the Army troops and to the Filipino people.
Part of the legislator’s duties as the Committee Chairman is to build strong linkages with governance-oriented institutions and other key stakeholders to help forward a culture of good governance in the Philippine Army.
Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy was also elected as the Vice-Chairman of the PA MASB Governance Committee.
“I commit to lend my broad experience in local governance to the Philippine Army in achieving its 2028 vision.”
Uy expressed his commitment to lend his broad experience in local governance to the Philippine Army in achieving its 2028 vision – a world-class Army that is a source of national pride.
He also commended the Army for manifesting a paradigm shift in its services which brought the organization closer to countless Filipinos in different local government units.
Former lawmaker Dong Mangudadatu and Congressman Ruffy Biazon also form part of the PA MSAB Governance Committee.
As one of PA MSAB’s standing committees, it promotes the principles of good governance and performance excellence in the Philippine Army.
