Local chief executives of Oriental Mindoro and Bais City, Negros Oriental have given their full support for the reelection bid of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa in the 2025 midterm elections.
On his Facebook account, Dela Rosa shared photos from his recent visit to Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor, who expressed his full support to the re-election of the senator.
“Thank you, my good friend Oriental Mindoro Gov., [B]onz Dolor for the support and prayers,” Dela Rosa wrote.
During his visit to Oriental Mindoro, Dolor prayed for Dela Rosa’s success and safety as he campaign across the country.
In a separate Facebook post, Dela Rosa also shared photos of his meeting with Bais City, Negros Oriental Luigi Marcel Goñi, expressing his gratitude for the local chief executive’s stand.
“Some LGU chiefs have balls and Mayor Luigi Goñi of Bais City, Negros Oriental is one of them. Thank you Mayor Luigi for your courage to rule and not to be ‘ruled,’” Dela Rosa said.
In his previous campaign speeches, Dela Rosa shared that some LGU officials could not express their full support to the opposition slate due to possible consequences from the Marcos administration.
Dela Rosa is running under the banner of PDP-Laban, a political party chaired by former President Rodrigo Duterte.
The former Philippine National Police chief-turned-lawmaker vowed to continue being a “fighter” against illegal drugs, criminality, and corruption should he be elected to the Senate in the upcoming 2025 national and local elections.
