NOGRALES ATTENDS AUSTRALIA BENCHMARKING STUDY

Civil Service Commission Chairperson (CSC) Karlo Nograles led the Philippine delegation at the Digital Transformation Strategy and Implementation Benchmarking Study in Australia.

The learning and development initiative showcases how Australian Government agencies, at the Commonwealth and State levels, have undertaken Digital Transformation. The study is the first of two modules to be held from 13-20 January 2024.

Joining CSC Chairperson Nograles in the benchmarking study are Acting Commissioner for Professionalization and Cooperation Judith Dongallo-Chicano, Integrated Records Management Office Director IV Noreen Boots Gocon-Gragasin, and Acting Information Technology Officer III Marlyn F. Damasco.

The Philippine delegation is comprised of the CSC, the Department of Budget and Management, the Department of Information and Communications Technology, the National Economic and Development Authority, and the Department of Trade and Industry.

The delegation was tasked with the whole of government responsibility for the digital transformation of service delivery or human resource management of data and digital professionals in the Philippine civil service.

These agencies have likewise developed Digital Transformation Strategies or Roadmaps based on the Digital Maturity Assessment conducted in the previous training of the Australia Awards and Alumni Engagement Program (AAAEP).

The benchmarking study forms part of a long-term strategy to support agencies to meet the challenges of digitalization of government service.

The AAAEP contracted the University of Adelaide as the Learning Service Provider to deliver two training modules to assist partner agencies in the development and implementation of their Digital Transformation Strategies.
