Deck slab concreting works at the (North Luzon Expressway) NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 is now at 100 percent, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said at his recent inspection of the flagship project.
“We are glad to announce that another flagship project, the R-10 Exit Ramp of NLEX Harbor Link, is now back on track and is expected to be completed by June 15,” said Villar.
“When completed, the Harbor Link project is expected to cut travel time from Quezon City to Manila from 2 hours to only 10 minutes,” the public works chief added.
The NLEX Corporation resumed works on the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 R-10 Exit Ramp, following new protocols on construction activities issued by the DPWH.
“R-10 Exit Ramp works were suspended for two months due to restrictions from the enhanced community quarantine.”
The public works head noted that R-10 Exit Ramp was originally targeted for completion earlier but works were suspended for two months due to restrictions imposed by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Segment 10, Exit Ramp to R-10 is a 2.6-kilometer 4-lane elevated ramp that will extend the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 exit to Radial Road 10 (R-10), using the C-3 Road as its route.
Once complete, it is expected to provide direct access between Manila’s Port Area and the northern provinces of Luzon and cut travel time from Manila’s Port Area to the NLEX to only 10 minutes.
