The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) led the formal opening of the “Pampamahalaang Programa at Serbisyo” at Liwasang Rizal, Manila in commemoration of the Philippines’ 126th Independence Day.
In his speech, MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes said the event provided an opportunity for the public to avail of basic services from various government agencies.
“Tayo ay nagtitipon upang buksan sa publiko ang mga programa at serbisyo ng nagkakaisang pamahalaan.”
“Tayo ay nagtitipon upang buksan sa publiko ang mga programa at serbisyo ng nagkakaisang pamahalaan. Layunin ng programang ito na ilapit sa ating mamamayan ang mandato ng bawat ahensya upang malaman nila kung saang ahensiya sila pupunta kapag nangangailangan ng serbisyo,”Artes stressed.
A total of 39 government agencies and two non-government organizations have participated in the two-day Independence Day event at the Rizal Park dubbed “Pampamahalaang Programa at Serbisyo”.
The MMDA booth showcases free registration for the Motorcycle Riding Academy, mobile earthquake simulator, anti-smoking campaign, and solid waste management. It will also facilitate inquiries regarding verification of traffic violations and payment of penalties.
“Ang MMDA ay naglaan ng onsite redemption kung saan maaari kayong magberipika ng inyong lisensiya, makapagbayad ng multa at kumuha ng certificate of clearance.”

Other officials present during the event are Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Assistant Secretary Dominic Tolentino, Jr., Civil Service Commission (CSC) Acting Assistant Commissioner Nerissa Canguilan, National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chairperson Lisa Guerrero Nakpil, and National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) Executive Director Cecille Lorenzana-Romero.
The Pampamahalaang Programa at Serbisyo is an annual activity participated by various government agencies to promote and enable easier access to their primary services.
