The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), in partnership with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), officially launched its inaugural satellite office in Robinsons Galleria Ortigas, Quezon City, expanding the agency’s thrust to enhance accessibility and convenience for settling traffic violation fines, among others.

MMDA Acting Chairman Atty. Don Artes said that the opening of the MMDA Redemption Satellite Office is part of the agency’s steadfast commitment to bring government services closer to the transacting public.

“The opening of the MMDA Redemption Satellite Office is part of the agency’s steadfast commitment to bring government services closer to the transacting public.”

“The goal of this partnership with RLC is to make settlement of traffic fine-related concerns easier and more accessible to our valued stakeholders,” Artes said during the project launch.

The MMDA chief also thanked the RLC management for providing a fixed place inside the shopping mall under a rent-free arrangement.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the RLC for forging a memorandum of agreement with MMDA by setting up a satellite office for the benefit of our motorists,” he noted.

RLC Vice President for Marketing and Operations Joel Lumanlan, who delivered the welcome remarks, thanked the MMDA for choosing Robinsons Malls as its first-ever satellite office location outside the MMDA Head Office.

The newly opened MMDA Redemption Satellite Office is at the Lingkod Pinoy Center, Lower Ground Floor of Robinsons Galleria Ortigas.

Office hours are from Mondays to Saturdays, starting at 8am to 5pm.

Among the services the MMDA Redemption Satellite Office will provide include the fine settlement for traffic violations issued by the agency, lifting of alarms for drivers who have been placed on the alarm list of the Land Transportation Office, and processing of drivers’ clearances verifying that they have no pending traffic violations. Office hours are from Mondays to Saturdays, starting at 8am to 5pm.

Currently, the settlement of MMDA-issued traffic violation tickets can be done through at the MMDA Head Office on Julia Vargas Avenue in Barangay Ugong, Pasig City, or through designated payment centers.

The MMDA Traffic Ticket Management Division, one of the major administrative offices under the Traffic Discipline Office, is tasked with implementing the Authority’s programs and services related to the management of traffic violation data, such as custodial and transaction servicing for safekeeping and release of confiscated items and administration of services related to apprehension records and clearance processing.

Other officials present during the MOA signing and ribbon-cutting ceremonies are MMDA Deputy Chairman Usec. Frisco San Juan Jr. and RLC External Affairs Director Irving Wu.
