The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) hosted the “PinasLakas sa Booster” of the Department of Health (DOH) for its employees recently at the MMDA headquarters in Makati City.
The opening ceremony was led by MMDA Acting Chairman Romando Artes, DOH Officer-in-Charge Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire, and Department of Interior and Local Government Assistant Secretary for Community Participation Elizabeth Lopez De Leon.
The “PinasLakas sa Booster” vaccination program aims to inoculate 120 employees daily and their families and relatives to provide extra protection against the COVID-19 virus.

According to Artes, the vaccination program is aimed to further boost the immunity of employees, particularly those who are always outside.
“The agency currently has 8,480 employees; 8,348 or 99.9% were given both 1st and 2nd booster vaccines, 7,442 or 92.63% received their 1st booster vaccine while 1,533 or 19% got their 2nd booster,” the traffic chief explained.
“The threat of COVID-19 is still present amidst the relaxation of some policies.”
