The Local Government Unit of Mangaldan in Pangasinan, under the leadership of Mayor Bona Fe De Vera Parayno, has been recognized as Region 1’s Bannuar Iti Salun-At Awards Best Environmental and Occupational Health Program Implementer by the Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD).
The municipality is the sole recipient of the award during the Gawad Kalusugan 2023 held at Thunderbird Resort, Poro Point Freeport Zone, San Fernando City, La Union.
The award has a cash incentive of P50,000.

It was received by the LGU through Dr. Larry Sarito, Municipal Health Officer along with Zita Lapore, Rural Sanitary Inspector (RSI), MHO’s focal person on environmental and occupational health.
Parayno commended the local health department’s efforts.
The lady mayor stressed the award serves as a testament of the municipality’s thrust to champion initiatives prioritizing the health and sanitation of the community.
