“Our children are not just our future, but what is important now is that they are our present.”

“As your Mayor, I refuse to let injustices against our children persist,” she stressed.

The Children’s Month is celebrated by virtue of RA 10661 which declares November of every year commemorating the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by the United Nations General Assembly on 20 November 1989, and seeks to instill its significance in the Filipino consciousness.

The celebration featured performances of talented children in Group Got Talent, Tula, Draw and Tell competition and Mass Dance.

There was also a surprise presentation by Jollibee that truly brought joy to the kids. Everyone present also recited the “Panatang Makabata” as an oath to protect the rights of every child.

Present during the activity were members of the Municipal Council headed by Vice Mayor Jun Escalada, the 31 Punong Barangays, and several school children together with their parents.
