The First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos’ LAB for ALL caravan fulfilled its promise of bringing quality healthcare services to the people in Botolan, Zambales.
The caravan is a collaborative effort of different government agencies, such as the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), PhilHealth, and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
It is the government’s action for a better healthcare system that is proactive, and accessible to the people.
“This is one of the steps that the government is taking towards the realization of Universal Health Care.”

The caravan also provided free medical consultations for pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, ECG, dental extraction, minor surgeries, eye check-ups, pap smears, x-rays, and distribution of medicines.

The activity also promoted the improvement of health literacy and health-seeking behavior among people in the communities.
“Sa pamamagitan ng LAB for ALL caravan, nakasisiguro akong bawat Pilipino ramdam ang kalusugan dahil bawat buhay mahalaga sa bagong Pilipinas,” Herbosa added.
Joining the health chief in supporting this initiative were SAGIP Partylist Representative Caroline Tanchay, DOH Chief of Staff Undersecretary Gloria Balboa, DOH Undersecretary Enrique Tayag, DOH Central Luzon Regional Director Corazon Flores, along with the medical center chiefs of Jose B. Lingad Memorial and General Hospital, Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, and Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center.
Also present were PhilHealth CEO Emmanuel Ledesma, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Director General Samuel Zacate, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman Prospero de Vera III, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Pinky Romualdez, Zambales Governor Hermogenes Ebdane, Zambales Vice Governor Jaq Khonghun, Congressman Bing Maniquiz, Congressman Jay Khonghun, Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, and other local officials.
