KALINGA TOWN FIRE STATION GETS NEW FIRE TRUCK

The local government of Lubuagan in Kalinga has acquired a new fire truck for the Lubuagan Fire Station as part of the government’s full support to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to ensure public safety.

Lubuagan Mayor Joel Tagaotao led the formal turnover and blessing of the newly acquired fire truck at the Lubuagan Eco-Tourism and Cultural Center in the presence of various national government line agencies including the Department of Local Government (DILG) – Kalinga.


During the program, BFP – CAR Regional Director, FSSUPT Robert Pacis stressed: “The people of Lubuagan are very lucky to have municipal officials, especially with your Mayor Joel Tagaotao, who are always working for the good and welfare of the town.”

Pacis noted that the LGU Lubuagan is now progressing and wished that the people would realize how Mayor Joel loves the municipality.

“The people of Lubuagan can expect the members of the BFP to become more dedicated, efficient and reliable in the performance of our duties.”

“With the addition of fire trucks, the Lubuagan Fire Station will become more capable and effective in ensuring the safety of our communities and industries. The people of Lubuagan can expect the members of the BFP to become more dedicated, efficient and reliable in the performance of our duties. I am confident that with your help, we can further boost our people’s confidence in the government and create an environment where our people can live and work in peace,” he added.

Tagaotao, on the other hand, expressed his gratitude to DILG – BFP and to Pacis for putting Lubuagan among the top priority to receive the much-needed equipment which will help the firefighting capabilities of BFP-Lubuagan Fire Station, and boost the development and progress of the municipality. 

“I will try my best to source funding to help upgrade Lubuagan Fire Station facilities.”  

The mayor acknowledged that the fire station still needs improvement, saying he will try his best to source funding to help upgrade Lubuagan Fire Station facilities. 

He also mentioned the local government’s support for the acquiring of a new ambulance for BFP Lubuagan Municipal Fire Station. Tagaotao has been in talks with the DILG to prioritize Lubuagan for the program.

The acquisition of new fire trucks is part of the BFP and LGU- Lubuagan’s ongoing modernization programs.
