Aksyon Demokratiko presidential bet Manila Mayor Isko Moreno met with fisherfolk and various groups in Zambales on Thursday as part of his listening tour.
In the seaside town of Botolan in Zambales, Moreno vowed to stand up against foreign incursion in the West Philippine Sea and secure the livelihood of fisherfolk residing on the country’s western coast.
Moreno was accompanied by Zambales vice gubernatorial aspirant Jaqueline Khonghun, and senatorial aspirants Doc Willie Ong, Samira Gutoc, Carl Balita and Jopet Sison.
“We will be fearless in fighting for what is ours. We will insist the Hague Ruling. But at the same time as being fearless, we are going to be fair with our discussion and management of the situation on both sides,” he said.
“We will be faithful to our farmers and fisherfolks. At iyon ang magaganap: undeterred, peaceful, and productive fishing opportunities under our rules,” he said.

Khonghun said the country needs Moreno’s brand of leadership, which takes off from his experience with poverty and hardship.
Meanwhile, during one of Moreno’s pit stops in Subic, Zambales, Subic Mayor Jonathan Khonghun praised Moreno’s commitment to listen to ordinary people.
Moreno reiterated his plan to expand the national government’s infrastructure program and cover the construction of schools and socialized housing.

Bakit itutuloy? Binayaran niyo yun. Kasi naging habit pag nagpalit ng administrasyon, giba dito, giba doon. Away dito, away doon. Pagbubutihan pa natin. Tayo, we will build more houses, build more jobs, build more schools, build more hospitals and build more business,” he said.
