With supporters of “yellow-pink” and “red” presidential candidates clashing in a Makati mall on Thursday, Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso reiterated that he would prioritize the problems encountered by the Filipino people instead of being caught up in partisan politics and political vendettas.
In a Facebook post, the 47-year-old presidential candidate said Thursday’s hostile encounter between the camps of former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Leni Robredo at an upscale mall in Makati City only proved what he has been saying all along: that if either of the two candidates is elected, the war between the “red” and the “yellow-pink” will not stop.
If he wins the presidency, Moreno said he will address poverty, hunger, unemployment, inequality, and social injustice through an inclusive and equitable infrastructure development program as spelled out under his 10-point Bilis Kilos Economic Agenda.
“Tulad nga ng nasabi ko hindi titigil ang awayan at higantihan ng pula at dilaw/pink. Hindi po tayo papanatag at uunlad,” the local chief executive wrote on Facebook in reaction to the shouting match and heckling between Marcos and Robredo supporters.
“Panahon na, mga kababayan, tuldukan na natin ang away nila sa Mayo 9. Iba naman! Walang awayan, walang higantihan. Kapakinabangan naman ng tao ang mauuna. #PeaceOfMind,” he added.
The multi-awarded public servant asked the voters to choose him on election day to be their next leader as he vowed to give them an efficient and trustworthy government under a “Life and Livelihood” platform for a better life and speedy economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Bigyan natin ng pagkakataon ang ating bayan magkaroon ng gobyernong tratrabahuhin ang kinabukasan mo. Walang awayan, walang higantihan, para sa inyong PEACE OF MIND, samahan niyo po ako sa May 9, Isko Moreno Domagoso po, para pagkapangulo,” he said.
Moreno earlier said that he is determined to finish the race and win as the next chief executive with the support of the “silent majority” that shows up in his campaigns sorties wherever he goes in the country.
If he wins the presidency, Moreno said he will address poverty, hunger, unemployment, inequality, and social injustice through an inclusive and equitable infrastructure development program as spelled out under his 10-point Bilis Kilos Economic Agenda.
