ISABELA PROV’L GOV’T DISTRIBUTES RICE SUBSIDIES

Senator Imee Marcos joined the Provincial Government of Isabela’s massive distributions of Bojie-Rodito Opportunities (BRO) for Education allowances and monthly rice subsidies to various sectors recently in Cauayan City.

“Dito sa Isabela, hindi na kailangan ng pambili ng bigas [dahil] binibigay na ng probinsiya,” Marcos said.

“Dito sa Isabela, hindi na kailangan ng pambili ng bigas [dahil] binibigay na ng probinsya.”

“Ang dami ninyong binibigay. Wala akong masabi… Maganda ang prinsipyong ‘to. Isang magandang solusyon,” the veteran legislator said, commending the Isabela Rice Assistance Program (I-RICE AP) of the provincial government.

The lady senator led the distributions alongside Governor Rodito Albano III, Vice Governor Bojie Dy III, and other province’s local officials.

A total of 1,388 BRO-Ed scholars received their allowance and sacks of rice for the 2nd semester of AY 2022-2023, amounting to P4.3 million.

A total of 1,863 BRO-Ed scholars also received theirs for the 1st semester of AY 2023-2024, amounting to P5.8 million.

The 6,093 barangay frontline workers, fishers, persons with disabilities (PWDs), TODA members, and tobacco farmers, including one former rebel, also received their monthly rice subsidies.

“I plan to give fortified rice to Isabeleños.”

Albano disclosed his plan to give fortified rice to Isabeleños.

The governor also pledged to increase their rice subsidies from 5 kg to 10 kg per month, starting this December 2024.
