The Provincial Government of Isabela (PGI) distributed the financial assistance of the Isabela Recovery Initiatives to Support Enterprises (I-RISE) beneficiaries in Angadanan, San Guillermo and Tumauini.
The provincial government released P5.2 million worth of livelihood support to 1,616 identified small vendors in the three municipalities.
Three cooperatives were also granted a total of P1 million interest-free loans.
Governor Rodito Albano III said he would give back the money of the provincial government to the people.
“Yung pera ng kapitolyo, pera ninyong lahat ‘yan. Binabalik lang namin at pinapaikot sa probinsiya para gumanda ang ating ekonomiya,” Albano explained.
“Gusto namin na ang bawat tahanan sa Isabela ay mabigyan ng bigas.”
“Itong mga bigas na ito, galing sa mga magsasaka natin. Binibili ng probinsiya at pinamimigay namin sa inyong lahat. Gusto namin na ang bawat tahanan sa Isabela ay mabigyan ng bigas,” the governor added.
He also disclosed his plan to provide a rice subsidy every month to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and fisherfolks.
Meanwhile, Vice Governor Bojie Dy III hoped that the financial assistance provided by the provincial government would positively impact the livelihood of the beneficiaries.
“Sa darating na mga panahon, for sure dadami pa ang ating beneficiaries.”
“Sa darating na mga panahon, for sure dadami pa ang ating beneficiaries para matulungan natin ang ating mga kababayan. Sana itong halaga na ito ay makatulong po sa inyong kabuhayan,” Dy said.
The provincial government also distributed the monthly rice subsidy of the 1,587 tricycle operators and drivers associations (TODA) members in the three municipalities.
