The Provincial Government of Isabela provided financial assistance totaling P2.4 million to 122 tobacco farmers in San Mariano and Benito Soliven.
The cash aid was distributed to the tobacco farmers across two municipalities on a pro-rata basis, according to farm size (P25,000 per hectare) and production volume (P5.00 per kilo produced).
The fund was sourced from the province’s share of the tobacco excise tax
During the program, Governor Rodito Albano highlighted the unity among Isabeleños, which had earned the province respect from other government officials outside Isabela.
