Senator-elect Bong Go attended the thanksgiving party organized by his supporters and friends at Davao City’s Arcadia Lifestyle Center.
Go extended his utmost gratitude to the people behind his success, and for landing on the third spot in the 2019 senatorial race.
“Sa mga kapatid kong Pilipino, maraming maraming salamat po sa suporta at tiwala. Ngayon, balik serbisyo na po ako. Tuloy lang po ang pagtrabaho. Handa akong mas makapagserbisyo pa sa mga kapatid natin (Thank you very much for your trust and support, my fellow Filipinos. I’m back to public service. I just have to continue my work and I’m ready to be of service to our fellow Filipinos),” the former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) said in his speech.
“Thank you very much for your trust and support.”
He ranked first and garnered more than a million votes in Davao region.
In an interview, Go laid down his plans for Davao Region. Among others, he said the region should get a fair share in the infrastructure projects to spur economic development, create jobs and uplift the lives of the people.
“Pagbibigay ng trabaho sa ating mga kapatid (ang aking prayoridad). Suportado natin ito, para dito sa Davao Region. Marami akong plano para sa kabutihan ng lahat. Kung ano man ang magagawa natin para sa ikakaunlad ng ating lugar (Job creation is my priority, I support this, especially for Davao Region. I have many plans for the welfare of everybody… whatever we can do for our region),” Go added.
“Job creation is my priority.”
In the middle of the thanksgiving dinner, President Rodrigo Duterte, with his long-time partner Cielito Avanceña, dropped by and surprised the newly-elected senator.
In his message, the President said he trusts Go most especially because he has been his long-time aide. The President is convinced that Go will be able to uphold the interests of the people.
“Magtulungan po tayo para mapaganda ang ating bansa. Labanan po natin ang iligal na droga, korapsyon at kriminalidad. Kahit nasa Senado na po ako, patuloy nating tulungan si Pangulong Duterte. Wala po tayong ibang hangarin kundi ang kabutihan ng kapwa nating Pilipino (Let’s help one another for the good of our country. Let’s fight illegal drugs, corruption and criminality. Even if I’m already in Senate, I will continue helping President Duterte. We have no other agenda but the welfare of our fellow Filipinos),” Go said.
