Former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) and now senatorial aspirant Bong Go clarifies that he has no ambition to become the country’s next president come 2022.
It’s a gift from God. (I don’t have the ambition for that position, and as what President Duterte said, never aspire for that position. It’s a gift from God. It will be given to the right person whom He thinks has the capacity to serve our nation),” the former presidential aide said.
Go, along with other senatorial candidates, was in Sorsogon City for the campaign sortie of Senator Francis Escudero, who is running for governor of the province.
(I personally don’t think about that. I will continue the services started by President Duterte, his campaign against corruption, criminality and illegal drugs, the service Duterte is known for),” he said.
Go also underscored his plan to help the President sustain the government’s win in the war against illegal drugs over the next three years.
Yan naman ang gusto ng mga tao (I will help the President to continue the changes he started. That’s what the people want),” he said.
“I will help the President to continue the changes he started.”
To improve people’s health, Go said he will continue to establish Malasakit Centers in every province and chartered city in the country “so that quality and effective healthcare will be at reach by all of our citizens”.
He further said he will serve as bridge to connect the people with government.
Here in Sorsogon, I talked to the local officials and asked them what more the national government can do to help. I will serve as the bridge to President Duterte),” he said.
“I will serve as the bridge to President Duterte.”
Go also assured the people that his loyalty is for them. He cited transportation, education, agriculture, housing and health as among the areas he wants to help improve if he gets elected to the Senate.
