One of the many challenges we face daily is our productivity. If you ever experienced dragging yourself from bed to work, you are definitely not alone. There would be days when no matter how hard we tried to work or squeeze our brains to produce a satisfactory output, we just couldn’t. If you ever wonder why, our daily habits may have a hand on how productive our day could get.
Productivity depends on our habits and our mental fortitude to get things done. Like any other habit, it can be mastered by following small habits that can position our minds for what we have to do for the day. A critical key in increasing productivity is by bombarding our brains with small tasks we accomplish.
MAKE YOUR BED
What’s the first thing you do after waking up? The answer to this question may greatly affect your outlook for the rest of the day. Start your day right by making sure you carry out the first task of the day—fixing your bed. By ensuring that your bed is fixed before you face the world, you already position yourself in having better odds for the day. Small habit, but very impactful, not just for productivity, but also in getting a better headspace.
UPDATE YOUR TO-DO LIST
Writing down the things you need to do will not only keep you away from forgetting things it will also prepare your mind and body for the amount of work you need for the day. Listing down a to-do list is like requesting our body to prepare for your order. Our body will then try to supply the total energy needed to accomplish all our tasks for the day.
HEALTHY BREAKFAST MEANS MORE ENERGY
Believe it or not, this one is not entirely a no-brainer to some. There are simply people who do not eat breakfast, but no matter the case, filling our stomachs before we proceed to our daily grind is important. For one, our brain burns a lot of calories when we think. If we do not have sufficient supply in our bodies, thinking becomes challenging. Not to mention it’s also physically unpleasant to do chores without eating first. Eat healthy food if you want to nail your work.
