Great Illustrations From 2016 (and One Was Made by a Filipino!)

Washington Post, an American daily newspaper, recently published the article entitled “50 great illustrations from 2016”. The article showcased internationally acclaimed illustrators, whose work appeared in Washington Post’s 2016 print and digital coverage.

 

Notably, one Filipino made it to the list.

Dan Matutina is a Filipino graphic designer and illustrator. In 2013, he received the Art Directors Club Young Guns Award, an annual international award given out to promising art directors.

Dan’s clientele includes brands like Uniqlo, Havaianas, Subway, Domino’s & Coca-Cola. His works were also published in The Guardian, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and Variety.

Aside from Dan, here are some of the other illustrators who were included in the list.
