Despite being one of the top performing aspirants in recent presidential surveys, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso said he is more concerned about people’s issues than their political preferences.
In a press conference in Moalboal, Cebu, Domagoso said he has been going around the country and visiting ordinary Filipinos from different sectors for that purpose.
“Are they optimistic in the next coming months for their lives and their livelihood? Yun ang gusto ko malaman ngayon. Yun ang mabisang survey.”
“I would rather be the surveyor than being surveyed. I will continue to survey the entire country yung damdamin ng tao,” he said.
In recent weeks, Domagoso and his team have visited farmers in Tarlac, manufacturing workers in Pampanga, and indigenous peoples communities in Nueva Vizcaya.
The 47-year-old mayor is currently in Cebu to hold dialogues with tourism workers and small business owners affected by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Are they optimistic in the next coming months for their lives and their livelihood? Yun ang gusto ko malaman ngayon. Yun ang mabisang survey. Yung sinusurvey yung buhay at katatayuan ng tao. Ako, bilang kandidato, ako yung surveyor, mas gusto ko ako yung surveyor,” Domagoso said.
“Susurveyin ko yung tao, di kung sinong gusto nilang Presidente, kundi anong kailangan ninyo? Anong klaseng industriya yung may kailangan ng ganito?” he added.
