Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco received a rockstar welcome from members of the Filipino Community, and tourism stakeholders present during the launch of the Bisita, Be My Guest (BBMG) Program in Berlin, Germany recently.
“Mga kababayan alam po natin kung gaano kalaki ang inyong kontribusyon at sakripisyo para sa ating ekonomiya sa Pilipinas. We greatly appreciate all of the contributions and sacrifices of our overseas Filipinos and Overseas Filipino workers that have helped many Filipinos back home,” Frasco said as she delivered her address at the hall of the Briston Hotel Berlin, jam-packed with members of the Filipino Community in Berlin, Germany, Internationale Tourismus-Borse (ITB) Berlin 2023 Philippine delegation and co-exhibitors, Filipino influencers, foreign trade partners, foreign media friends, and members of the Philippine Embassy.
“At dahil mahal na mahal po kayo ng ating president na si President Bongbong Marcos at Bise presidente na si Vice President Sara Duterte hatid po nila sa inyo ang BBMG program a guest incentive program intended for all you to become tourism ambassadors for the Philippines,” the tourism chief told the cheering crowd.
Implemented by the DOT, together with its tourism promotions arm, the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines (TPB), in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the BBMG is an innovative online referral program aimed at boosting the Philippine economy through increasing tourist arrivals, while at the same time giving incentives, privileges, and prizes to Filipinos who will serve as invitee or sponsors for their foreign friends and guests.
“We have come up with this program specifically for overseas Filipinos, and OFWs, to entice you to become tourism ambassadors of the Philippines!”
“Priority po ng ating president ang turismo kaya po excited kami na i-welcome kayo at ang inyong mga bisita sa Pilipinas because we have come up with this program specifically for overseas Filipinos, and OFWs, to entice you to become tourism ambassadors of the Philippines!” the tourism head explained.
“It’s our time Philippines!”
“The Philippines is a country like no other and we are blessed with a host of natural destinations, we are blessed with the warmth and grace of the Filipino… It’s our time Philippines!” Frasco exclaimed as she ended her remarks.
The Bisita, Be My Guest or B-B-M-G Program has three components: (1) the BBMG Raffle (2) the BBMG Travel Passport, and (3) the BBMG Privilege Card.
It will have three major draws which will happen on May 11, 2023, December 15, 2023, and May 10, 2024.
