Farmers, workers, and drivers are among the latest beneficiaries to receive financial assistance from the government as part of efforts to cushion the impact of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon.

“Tinututukan pa rin po ng pamahalaan ang pagbigay ng tulong pinansyal sa mga manggagawa, magsasaka, at mga pamilyang nangangailangan,” said Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases spokesperson Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles,

DSWD has reported that a total  of 40,418 PUV and TNV drivers have already received their subsidies.

Nograles revealed that the Department of Labor (DOLE) has reported that a total of 219,458 affected workers have received P5,000 each under the DOLE’s COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program.

“Limang libo din po ang ibinibigay ng Department of Agriculture sa mga magsasaka sa ilalim ng kanilang Rice Farmers Financial Assistance Program,” said the Palace official.

“Ipinasok na po ang pondo sa mga account ng 328,282 na magsasaka. May additional po na 46,575 na magsasaka na nakatanggap din ng 5,000 pesos sa ilalim ng SureAid and Financial Subsidy for Rice Farmers.”

Nograles said that the Department of Social Welfare and Development has reported that a total  of 40,418 PUV and TNV drivers have already received their subsidies.

“In addition to this, the DSWD has distributed a total of 61.9 million pesos to 13,135 clients for COVID-19 concerns under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations program,” added Nograles.

“That is over and above the Emergency Subsidy Program for distribution to non-4Ps beneficiaries. As of 3pm today, of the P80.9 Billion downloaded to DSWD Filed Offices, P59,532,119.250.00 have already been given to 1,033 Local Government Units.”
