Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Fred Pascual urged Filipinos to formally register their businesses following the integration of the DTI’s Business Name Registration System (BNRS) into Taguig City’s Business Permitting and Licensing System (Apollo 2.0).

The DTI has partnered with the City Government of Taguig to streamline business registrations with a system-to-system approach, which was formalized through a memorandum of agreement signed recently.
Taguig’s permit and licensing system will automatically validate business permit applications against the DTI’s business name registrations without requiring copies of their DTI registration certificates.

It will also ensure reliable and secure transactions, real-time access to information, and enhanced detection of falsified documents.
This initiative significantly enhances the ease of doing business and creates a more conducive business ecosystem for local entrepreneurs, particularly within the micro, small, and medium enterprise sector.
Aligned with the Marcos administration’s whole-of-government approach, this strategic partnership with Taguig City is part of the DTI’s BNRS Online Integration with Local Government Units and National Government Agencies project.
