Groundwork has commenced for the construction of a new Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) building in the Municipality of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon which will serve as a training facility for government media workers and information officers.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) recently held its groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Government Communication Academy (GCA), considered “first of its kind” and is intended for teaching, training, and developing information officers (IO), spokespersons, and communicators from all national government agencies and local governments.

The groundbreaking ceremony was spearheaded by PCOO Assistant Secretary Ryan Vincent Uy and joined by Philippine Information Agency Regional Director Franklin Gumapon, DPWH Region X Construction Chief Engineer Virgie Nayve, DPWH Bukidnon 3rd DEO OIC-Assistant District Engineer Romulo Andres, and Manolo Fortich Municipal Mayor Clive D. Quiño.
The project includes the construction of a circular two-storey PCOO main building, a 16-unit dormitory, and an outdoor amphitheater with parking lots and landscaping.
The facility will rise within the vicinity of the Northern Bukidnon State College in Barangay Tankulan of the said municipality under the strict supervision of DPWH Bukidnon 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO).
