The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is constructing a new two-story Department of Justice (DOJ) Building in the Municipality of Ballesteros, Cagayan.
In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Region 2 Director Nomer Abel Canlas said that the facility will serve as the Satellite Office of the Cagayan Provincial Prosecution Office.

Designed with a total floor area of 1,750 square meters, the satellite office will house the Cagayan Provincial Prosecution Office and serve as a workspace for prosecutors of the Department of Justice catering to litigants from the towns of Abulug, Allacapan, Ballesteros, Lasam, and Pamplona as well as barangays in Luna and Apayao.
“DPWH is glad to provide assistance to the Department of Justice in making legal services more accessible and convenient for northern towns of Cagayan,” Canlas said.
A total of P12 million was allocated under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA) for the construction of the facility implemented by DPWH Cagayan Second District Engineering Office (DEO).
