The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed road rehabilitation works in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija to facilitate faster and more convenient access to the Philippine Army’s (PA) Fort Ramon Magsaysay.
DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, in his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo, said that road reconstruction was made on the 1.53-kilometer section of the Bangad – Fort Magsaysay Road in Barangay Patalac, Cabanatuan City.
Implemented by the DPWH Nueva Ecija Second District Engineering Office (DEO), the completed road rehabilitation now provides improved ease of travel for both the over 2,000 residents of Barangay Patalac as well as around 13,000 motorists and road users as indicated by DPWH’s Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT).

The project was completed in the amount of P22.63 million with funding under the DPWH Asset Preservation Program sourced from the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
