DPWH OPENS NEW BRIDGE IN TAGO, SURIGAO DEL SUR

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completely replaced the old and unsafe Sitio Pague-Pague – Camagong wooden bridge in Tago, Surigao del Sur.

“The bridge will improve the productivity, profitability, and sustainability for agriculture in the area.”

Costing P38.1 million, the newly-concreted bridge spans 42 meters with 72 meters of gravel roads.

“The new sturdy concrete bridge brought relief to residents who were previously concerned that the old bridge might collapse anytime, especially when farmers transport their heavy farming equipment between locations,” Villar added.

Locals in the municipality expressed gratitude for the new bridge as it improved their livelihood by providing a more convenient transport of their agricultural products to and from the market.
