An upgraded portion of Lamisahan-Victoria Road now facilitates improved accessibility and more convenient transport for local communities in Barangay Lamisahan, Zamboanga City.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia reported that the newly-paved 443.19-linear meter road reduces travel time to and from the national highway from 30 minutes to only 19 minutes.
More economic opportunities also await residents of Barangay Lamisahan as the paved road hastens transport of goods from farming communities to the market and facilitates better access to basic facilities and services.
“The Department will continue to ramp up its efforts to deliver quality infrastructure projects that will uplift the lives of Filipinos, especially in far-flung areas.”
