Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced the completion of a tourism access road leading to the Anas View deck in Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte.
“The dusty and bumpy road has been rehabilitated into a two-lane concrete tourism road providing easy access for locals and nature-loving tourists,” Villar said.
According to DPWH Region 8 Director Nerie Bueno, the P22.6-million access road provides tourists with scenic views of the historic island of Limasawa, Sogod Bay to the East, and Bohol Sea to the west.
“We can see high potential in drawing more tourists in the province which would hopefully spur development for communities near these sites.”
