DPWH FINISHES ROAD REHAB IN VALENCIA, BUKIDNON

Motorists and pedestrians in Valencia, Bukidnon now experience better travel quality with the completion of a road rehabilitation project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

In her report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH-Region 10 Director Zenaida Tan said that the 619-meter portion of the Sayre Highway has undergone widening and rehabilitation works to accommodate the increasing traffic demand of the vital thoroughfare that serves as a link to urban and rural areas of the province.

A total of P40.8-million was allocated for the widening and improvement along Sayre Highway, which covers the road widening from four to six lanes, reconstruction of damaged inner lane, installation of pavement markings, removal and replacement of roadside vegetation, construction of catch basin and reinforced concrete canal at selected section, and the provision of a center island to house a total of 27 solar light posts.

Implemented by DPWH Bukidnon 1st District Engineering Office, the road rehabilitation works were funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
