DPWH FINISHES ILOCOS NORTE ROAD LIGHTING PROJECT

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a road lighting project for the purpose of improving safety of nighttime motorists traversing a portion of Pancian-Adams Road in the town of Adams, Ilocos Norte.

DPWH Regional Office Director Ronnel Tan said that the completed road improvement project was implemented by the DPWH Ilocos Norte 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) along a 7.34-kilometer portion of Pancian-Adams Road in Adams.

The project involved the installation of a total of 202 solar LED streetlights alternately on the mountainside road, enhancing visibility and safety of all road users.

The lighting project along Pancian-Adams Road was implemented by the DPWH Ilocos Norte 1st DEO in the amount of P49 million, through the initiative of Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative and Senior Deputy Majority Speaker Sandro Marcos, sourced from the 2023 General Appropriations Act.
