DPWH FINISHES FARM-TO-MARKET ROADS IN NUEVA ECIJA

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has paved two local roads that now boost mobility in communities located in the mountainous areas of Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.

DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller Tolentino, identified that local roads recently upgraded into concrete include the 910-lane meter road in Barangay Capintalan and the 1.14-lane kilometer road in Barangay Piut.

“The upgraded roads link the once isolated upland communities to the nearest major highway passing Carranglan.”

“The upgraded roads link the once isolated upland communities to the nearest major highway passing Carranglan, helping local farmers in efficiently transporting and hauling their agricultural products to market centers,” Bonoan said.

“With the completion of the road concreting projects, residents now also have safer and faster access to institutions providing social service within and outside Carranglan,” the public works chief said.

Both road projects were implemented by the DPWH Nueva Ecija First District Engineering Office (DEO) in the amount of P9.7 million sourced from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2022.
