In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Aurora District Engineer Roderick Andal said that their district intends to build more convenient and comfortable evacuation centers in Aurora, where residents can seek shelter during calamities.

Funded under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the P9.64 million evacuation center now addresses the need for a safe temporary shelter, such as when Typhoon Betty struck in May 2023, requiring coastal communities to evacuate for safety.
