The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) completed a new concrete road project benefiting farmers in Barangay Pasa, Ilagan, Isabela.
In an update to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Isabela First District Engineering Office reported that a total allocation of P11.9 million from the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA) was utilized for the construction of a 2-lane paved road, enhancing accessibility of travel for the farmers and the general public in the City of Ilagan.
“The farm-to-market road project connects the agricultural area to the market centers, allowing producers to transport their goods with relative ease.”

“The completion of the project will help the residents, especially the grain farmers, transport their products and goods safer and faster to the nearby towns,” Vehemente added.
The FMR project was implemented by DPWH Isabela First District Engineering Office in convergence with the Department of Agriculture.
