The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a multi-purpose building project that supports small independent businesses in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya Province.
DPWH Region 2 Director Reynaldo Alconcel reported to Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary for Regional Operations Eugenio Pipo, Jr. that the ₱15-million public market building is now catering the needs of the community for a variety of produce such as meat, fish, dairy products, baked goods, coffee, spices, and various domestic specialties.

The market building has amenities, which include modern restrooms, ample parking spaces, and a spacious area for vendors and customers.
The market also has a designated area for dining and communal seating, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for customers.
According to DPWH Nueva Vizcaya 1st – District Engineer Marifel Andes, the new market has encouraged increase in independent businesses, and created job opportunities needed to boost the local economy.
