The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is fast-tracking the improvement of Davao City-Jct. Digos City Section of the Davao-Cotabato Road.
A P71-million asphalt overlaying is being carried out by the DPWH Davao City Second District Engineering Office (DEO) over 9.41 lane kilometers of Davao City-Jct. Digos City Section in Toril District, Davao City.
“The project has already achieved more than 90 percent completion as of August 2023.”
DPWH Regional Office 11 OIC-Director Juby Cordon reported to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan and Undersecretary for Mindanao Operations Eugenio Pipo, Jr. that the project has already achieved more than 90 percent completion as of August 2023.
According to OIC-Director Cordon, the recorded accomplishment was 28.33 percent higher than the 62.25 percent target, with the project slated for completion by October 2023.
Just recently, DPWH Davao City Second DEO has completed the P48-million road maintenance along 6.76 lane kilometers of Davao-Cotabato Old Road also in Toril District in Davao City.
“With these road improvements, we aim to prolong the service life of existing pavement to facilitate more convenient and more efficient commute and transport of goods and services in the Davao Region,” Cordon concluded.
