Transport of local goods and services in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur has now become easier with the concrete paving works completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH Region 9 Director Cayamombao Dia said that the construction of the 1.67-kilometer project along C NRJ Bag-ong Argao – Sto.Rosario – Simata -Silangit -Bag-ong Gutlang -Bag-ong Ariosa -NRJ Litapan Diversion Road in Barangay Silangit is now aiding residents and farmers as travel time has been reduced from 30 minutes to 15 minutes.

DPWH Zamboanga del Sur First District Engineering Office (DEO) implemented the road concreting project with an allocated budget of P46M under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
Also included in the project are the provisions of a drainage system and slope protection works intended to improve road safety.
“Our goal is to finish more projects in Zamboanga del Sur this year to improve the road network and provide a better travel experience that can boost the local economy,” Dia added.
