The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the rehabilitation and upgrading works along a portion of Puerto Princesa South Road in an effort to improve mobility in the world-famous Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.
In his report to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan, DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Office Director Gerald Pacanan said that a total of P34.1 Million was allocated for the improvement of the road, specifically in Barangay Luzviminda section, where motorists may pass along a scenic coastline.

The road repair and improvement project along Puerto Princesa South Road was implemented by the DPWH Palawan 3rd District Engineering Office covering a length of 966.5 meters.
Puerto Princesa South Road serves as a vital route to popular tourist attractions like the Acacia Tunnel and local beaches.
With the completed project, residents and tourists may now enjoy smoother and aesthetically more pleasing travel along the seaside.
“This road improvement project is expected to benefit the local economy in the area by fostering improved access to key destinations and supporting local tourism initiatives,” Pacanan stressed.
