The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the completion of the 2.8-kilometer road concreting project to connect the towns of Baggao and Peñablanca, in Cagayan Province.
In his report to Secretary Roger Mercado, DPWH Regional Office 2 Director Loreta Malaluan said that the completed 2-lane road now links Barangay San Jose in Baggao and Barangay Quibal in Peñablanca side.
“This P91-million newly-concreted San Jose-Quibal Road facilitates better, faster, and safer connectivity between the two towns,” Mercado explained.
“Surrounded by farm lands, the road provides a scenic alternative route to motorists/travelers in this area of the province.”

DPWH Cagayan Third District Engineering Office carried out the year-long construction of the project which commenced in March 2021.
